Does anyone recognize this found China rose? It was growing in pretty dense shade. I could not tell much about the overall bush form, since the rose had obviously been pruned down to about 2 feet tall. I suspect that it would get much taller.
Blooms are around 2". Medium old rose fragrance.Multiple shades of pink in each bloom. 15-20 petals.Blooms in clusters of 3-5.
5 leaflets with red stems.Pointy leaflets. Medium sized thorns, sparsely spaced.Red thorns on new growth.

Any ideas?

Oh bummer. I thought someone had commented on my question. I got all excited. man what a bust.

If you never planted the red rose, my guess is that it is Doctor Huey; which is the rose that most grafted roses are put on.
