Looks like a hybrid tea but is it usually red or pink? Was the picture taken recently during 100+ degree temps or in cooler weather? Approximately how old is the bush? Unfortunately most roses can't be id'd just by a picture.

Its pink in color. Very fragrant..got from walmart. Bush is 5 years old, pic was taken 2 years ago during cooler temps in phoenix, az..maybe march/ early april. In 100 deg temps the flower has very low petal count dries up same day it blooms.

It might be Peter Mayle. One of the pics shows the large, mostly closed flower with a distinct red cast on the outer petals. In spring, Peter Mayle has the heavy flower with a reddish cast.

Pics of Peter Mayle on the net matches that of this rose, so its possibly peter mayle...also the strong/extremely fragrant description matches. thanks
