Hello
Previous owner planted this rose and it was not very happy. I moved it and gave it some better soil and at least it is blooming now. But what kind it is? It is very pretty.....
Thanks
Stefan

Have a look at "Jude the Obscure" and "Graham Thomas" at helpmefind.com and see how they compare to your rose. Graham is a much more commonly planted rose. Jude smells fruity (sort of like grapefruit.) Both are David Austin English roses.

How happy you must be to have perked up such a lovely rose (whatever it may be)

:-)

Definitely an Austin, anyway.

Yes, definitely an Austin. A beautiful photo.

Looks like my Pat Austin. The blooms fall apart quicker than I would like.

Pat Austin was my 1st thought too.

Here is a link that might be useful: Pat Austin

This is Graham Thomas, no doubt!

Graham Thomas, for sure!

Color matches Graham Thomas in my garden, which is in TN- and gets sun at the same angle as you get light in NC.

It looks exactly like my Graham Thomas. Mine has a scent I don't like very much, I don't know how to explain the scent. I love the way he looks in a vase. The blooms last longer than Heritage.

This is definately a David Austin yellow. I have Golden Celebration and your picture strongly resembles mine. Golden Celebration has a deep yellow color and sometimes has little spots of pink or red on them. Also, it has a very a fruity fragrance. It does not last long in the vase, though.

Graham Thomas 100% sure !

RE: What could this be?

It looks just like my Golden Celebration, a relative of the Graham Thomas.

Not nearly enough tight petals for Golden Celebration.
