Going by the photo, and your description of the bloom's colors and especially lack of fragrance, my guess is Montezuma.

Montezuma is a grandiflora-class rose, color is rated by ARS as "orange-pink," averaging 36 petals per bloom, blooms mostly singly in my yard - sometimes in low-number clusters, and tends to have long straight-ish canes reminiscent of a climber.

I generally am not interested in slight-scent roses. The few exceptions I've made to that rule are due to their having "spectacular-colored" blooms. (Moonstone, green-edged St. Patrick, etc.) That is the reason why I have 5 Montezuma bushes.

You might want to check some photos of Montezuma at HelpMeFind dotcom to help decide whether that's your mystery-rose. Caution: Montezuma's colors are hard to capture accurately with a camera - usually due to what photographers call "oversaturation."

Boy, they sure goofed on that one! No way is that GT!! I bought a rose once that was marked Sally Holmes, and it was a red single (Robin Hood) the nursery was called to tell them of the error...and they didn't care...

Thank you for your input. Montezuma really does seem like a good guess. Particularly since I have seen the pics and hardiness zones. The rose made it through a particularly cold winter with little damage. I actually like this rose and will seek another. Thanks again for your help.

I have a Montezuma and it's quickly becoming a favorite. This is a picture of its current growth and it has 16 blooms-easily my most prolific bloomer!
