Help me name this HD body bag rose.

This is a Mea Nursery body bag rose that I bought at HD. It was (mis)labelled as "La Reine." The label also indicated that it was a ????bourbon.

Please forgive the poor quality of the photos as I took it with my cellphone. Also, the plant is wet, giving off too much glare.

The plant is completely thornless, except for some very fine bristles at the underside of the leaf petiole. Leaves are matte and bluish-green, with between three to five leaflets. Flowers are borne in small clusters of two or three. They are fully double with a button eye and very fragrant. The attached photos should give a fairly accurate idea of the colour, which is hot pink/purple. The plant is most likely a repeat bloomer given that the flower buds appear on the new growths.

Any ideas?

I also forgot to indicate that the flowers are not very big, only about 3.5 inches in diameter.

I'm not sure but it could be Reine des Violets. I bought a few of them myself from Home Depot last month. ($3.50 a bag!!) RdV is known to be thornless. Mine haven't flowered yet, but they are supposed to be purple/magenta with a lighter center.

Thanks snrose. I agree that it is indeed RdV. It became more apparent a few days later, when the blooms began to take on a bluish hue. Somebody who saw the plant also believed it was RdV.

I had bought this as one of two plants from HD. The other plant was funny enough labelled "Reine des Violettes," but turned out to be its thorny parent "Pope Pius IX." It's a happy accident that I ended up with the real RdV in the end.

This does indeed look like a Reine des Violettes. It is thornless and has a bloom like yours. It is a Hybrid Perpetual first introduced around 1860.
