I just got cuttings of this rose today and don't know what it is

I went to a garage sale today and the lady was nice enough to give me a few cuttings of this rose.... can anyone ID .... it just has 5 petals no scent.

If it was blooming in a big clusters of dozens of those blooms, it is probably 'American Pillar' rose.

Check the picture posted with the message titled Off to be a Yard Slave on the Antique Rose forum by melva. It looks a little like your new friend.

SGSsmith: I looked at the picture and it does look like mine but when I looked it up on helpmefind it says it has a slight fragrance, mine has none.....
It might be American Pillar but the one I got only had 6 buds on a stem, when I look at pictures of it on line it seems to have about 10-20 buds per stem?
I am going to try to start it and we'll see if it grows.
It reminds me of a dogwood.
