Name That Rose!

White Rose with yellow center

Hi,

We moved into a farmhouse built in 1790 and there is a very old rose bush. The house had been in one family for over 100 years but they didn't know what it was or who planted them. They were in rough shape but after a little pruning they bloomed really well. They bloom in June & the smell s fantastic. Any idea what they are?

Can't make out the foliage in your pic, but try 'Alba Semi-Plena.' This rose could survive indefinitely with no care even in zone 4.

Thanks Michael, Alba Semi-Plena is exactly what I thought. In the past few years before I bought the house I'm sure it had no care so thanks for the confirmation.
