this red rose fades to purple and has a strong citrus smell. she blooms singly for the first flush then, she blooms in small clusters continuously all season long. it must be at least 5 five years old. she's up against my house next to mutabilus and gold medal. she gest to about 5 feet tall and 4 feet wide. the shape is naturally vase shaped. she's very vigurous. the blooms age quickly and the buds are very long. there are 15 petals wich age quickly.

RE: Ffragrant red rose

I can almost smell this lovely rose! But tell me, is she still blooming vigorously? I am afraid that I did not get round with the manure this Autumn, nor with the rose fertiliser this Spring, nor, I regret to say, with the spray against black spot, aphids and mildew. As a result, my roses are not a patch on what they used to be like. However, I have had two wonderful displays fom my Nevada bush, and another old rose, which I think is Felicia. Good wishes, SylviaS.
