I know this post is old but it's worth re-discussing. Heirloom continues to sell this bastardized version of Sam McGredy's beautiful "Spiced Coffee" rose. It looks nothing like the breed of it that I've seen sold by Ludwigs and by growers in Australia. It's supposed to look like this: https://swissrosegarden.com.au/rose/spiced-coffee/

I can't believe Heirloom is still permitted to grow and sell it and that nobody can pull their license. It's appalling and I'm very sad for Sam McGredy. I've seen smaller sellers now selling this version as if it is Spiced Coffee and it's not. I've discussed this at length with Heirloom and they still insist it's the correct rose. It looks NOTHING like the rose bred by McGredy.
