Is there any scent?

None. It looks exactly like a rose I have labeled as Debutante. I have seen very few photos of Deb and my Deb does not look like most of them. In most photos of Debutante, the flowers look larger and are a lighter pink than Dorothy Perkins. I am wondering if my Debutante could have been mislabeled.

This rose blooms only once about the same time as Dorothy, same growth habits.

That's definitely not 'Debutante'.

As to the pictured rose, it would be very difficult to ID it from that photo, but I would assume it is 'Dorothy Perkins' or 'Excelsa'. DP generally has a very bubble gum pink color, but can look darker as well.

I have DP and am sure it is not her. Also learned that the rose I have labeled Debutante (my daughter in law gave it to me) is mislabeled. I am studying Crimson Rambler and Excelsa. I think it is one of the two. Thank you palustris for the beautiful link.

Not 'Crimson Rambler'. Mostly likely 'Excelsa'.

I grow Excelsa and your rose looks just like mine and the picture of excelsa in the Walsh link. However, your picture does not show the clusters which are more common with Excelsa. That's my vote! Best, Nick

PS - It is definitely not Debutante which is pink.
