Hi,

Does anyone know the official name of 'spray' roses?
I saw a supermarket bouquet that consisted of cascading/branchng miniature roses that they simple called 'spray' rose. The closest I've found was Lady Banks, but the ones I saw in the store came in red/pink hues (which the Lady Banks doesn't offer). Please let me know where I can find this 'spray' rose for growing.

Many of these are bred just for the florist trade. Interplant (select "Spray Roses" from the "type" pull-down menu on the left side of the screen) in the Netherlands hybridizes many of these. There are many miniatures (and some Polyanthas) that have this "spray" habit, you may want to check out some of them.

I grow two roses that bloom in 'sprays'. The first has small pink blooms that are borne in clusters. It is called "The Fairy" and is a popular landscape rose so it shouldn't be hard to find. The other is called "Seafoam" and is similar in growth but has larger creamy white flowers in clusters of 7 or 8 blooms per stem (Weeks Roses).
