| I bought this plant for my dad for Father's Day somewhere around 20 years ago. It looks very very similar to Tropicana, but it isn't. The color has just a tinge more salmon, making it slightly less neon colored. The scent is more like what I think of as a traditional rose scent. It also does not have the monster thorns of the Tropicana. It was uncared for for several years until I acquired it this spring. A little TLC has allowed it to increase size greatly and it has bloomed for the first time in many years. I do recognize it as the one I bought a long time ago, because at that time the color was unusual, around here anyway. I would love to figure out what it is. Any ideas? |
