after reading some other postings i thought i should elaborate on my description...
the folliage is dark green and new growth a deep red.
the first one planted is doing quite well and probably about 4 feet tall at it's tallest shoot... being new it isn't very wide. it is fragrant but i do not know if i could describe it. it isn't a strong fragrance, i do not smell it in the air, only when sniffing the bloom. i'll add another photo of the bloom from another angle.

Two thoughts are Oranges 'n' Lemons or George Burns. Most likely Oranges 'n' Lemons, that is available pretty widely.

oranges'n'Lemons nor george burns rings a bell. i got them at like loblaws...and i just remeber being told they would be fairly easy to grow. looking at the pictures they just dont seem right, however the striping is just like that. i'll have to figure out how to add more photos..

Call the nursery and ask them what kinds of striped roses they carried this year. I just guessed at roses that are widely available and carried at nurseries. Chihuly is another striped that might have been made available. And Modern Magic, but I grow it and this doesn't look like it.

i tried to talk to the people at loblaws where i purchased the two plants back at the beggining of the summer...unfortunately they are useless. she said there was 18 different type they sold an then amoung those there is such variety i probably woulnd't have anyluck. i asked for the list of 18 and she wouldn't get it for me. i think she was just to lazy to leave her station. she suggested i go back in the spring to see if i recognise the flower later.

Oy. I wouldn't go back there at all. The garden folks around here are very helpful about that kind of thing. Sorry, if I think of anything else, I'll post again. I just know that your photo looks like every Oranges 'n' Lemons that I have seen.

Looks like TROPICAL SUNSET to me. I purchased mine from Canada under the name MARVELLE a few yrs before J&P picked it up and introduced it as TROPICAL SUNSET. It's a wonderful rose! Blooms a lot and is disease-free and just an all-around great rose!
