Is this Buck's Summer Wind? The buds are darker than the blooms and the blooms fade. The description states that is Orange-Pink, but in my heat it is more coral, fading to pink. It usually sets hips if not deadheaded or fertilized very heavy. It has a slight clove scent and is normally a short healthy bush.

I'd know that "watermelon" color anywhere... it may be orangy pink in a cooler climate, but not around here.

Robert, the breeders notes are never "written in stone", but in "roseland" we aren't supposed to contradict them. I often post additional information about roses under the miscellaneous notes line or comments from the peanut gallery on rose information sheets.

I know it isnt nearly wild (which I also thought at first it might be), the petal count is 5 for that one. (just bought one and found this during reseach for my journal)Pink knock out? The petal count looks right and they are very disease resistant. Bloom like mad. Mine look red as far as the bud right before it opens up. Flowernay is right, climate can have an inpact on the color. Mine open up different colors in early spring than they do in the summertime. (most of my roses do, not just the knockouts)I hope you find out what it is.
