Red rose... what kind?

Hi everyone, this is my first time on here. My brother has a rose that I need help identifying. I don't know much about roses but a friend of my mothers saw our rose once and said that he couldn't believe that we had it because it was really rare. That was awhile ago and I'm interested in knowing what kind of rose it is and if it is even rare. I have pictures taken today (I live in Sydney, Australia) and it is an extremely bright day so the rose seems pinker than it usually does; it's meant to be a deep red. I have pictures of the flower and the leaves, don't know why, thought it might help? :oS Pictures at the link below.

Thanks for your time! And any help appreciated! :oD

RE: Red rose... what kind?

how big does it get, and is it fragrant?

can you ask your mom's friend?

RE: Red rose... what kind?

From your pictures it appears to be a HT. How many petals does it have. That will narrow it down somewhat as what variety it could be.

RE: Red rose... what kind?

When I saw it, I thought 'Mirandy.'
