Neglected to cover..survival??

After moving a year & half ago I did not get my roses covered before winter set in due to health & surgeries. I am currently downstate recovering from surgery. Hardley can wait until the Breast surgeon says I can go home. I'm hoping to be in better health this next summer and am looking forward to spending time working in the yard.

Problem: Since I only got one bush covered with a bucket I'm wondering if my others will survive. Is there anything I can do when I get home to help them revive if the weather or rabbits haven't killed them?

The area gets very cold. They weakly made it through last winter with me pouring left over coffee and spreading grounds near the bases.

I had:

2 Trumpeter

Sunsprite

Sunflare

Those who remember me will know I am a die hard organic gardener but don't know much about roses. I have not put in a garden yet other than tucking stuff here and there. I don't have compost to make compost tea etc. I do have some gypsum, lime and peat moss.
