Epson Salts-pros and cons?
| | |

First of all I'm not even sure it's considered organic...
If so, is the chief benefit of using it that it promotes basil breaks? Is there any other fertilizer that specfically does this?
Thanks,

| Epsom salts are a very soluble form of Magnesium Sulfate and if your soil is low in Mg it may be a good idea to add some in this form to help short term. However, adding any nutrient if it is not needed can cause more problems than it cures. |

| A soil test may be helpful. With a soil sample analysis, you will know exactly what need to be added or not. Feeding the soil with alfalfa tea/ pellets or fish emulsion will also encourage basal breaks. |
