I have a problem with black spot on my Roseraie de l'Haÿ roses. They seem to survive it well, but they look rather unsightly and I'd like them to do better than just hang in there. Since rugosas & their hybids are supposedly very sensitive to even organic sprays such as those with baking soda or milk, I've been afraid to try them. What can I do to control the problem? Besides fall clean up around them, would spraying before they leaf out in the spring work? I'm at a loss of what to do. My Rosa Rugosas do not have problems with fungal diseases & I had thought that the Roseraie de l'Haÿ would be fine, too. Our springs seem to have the kind of weather that black spot loves.
