Where has it gone?

I tried to find Bt last year at the end of the season and was unsuccessful. I thought it was just because they would not reorder. I guess I was wrong. I looked everywhere for it the other day and could not find it. Has it changed its name or what happened? I don't like to spray anyway but understood this was the least troublesome. Does anybody know? Would this work on the sawfly larvae for which we use the Fertilome stuff to do away with the caterpillars? Thanks so much. - Barb

"Bacillus thuringiensis - Kurstaki" is available many places, around here, as Thuricide, Dipel, or even at the local Best Buy hardware store under the stores brand name. I have not seen any at the big box stores around here but the locally owned nurseries here carry it and if you ask for BTK most clerks, not all, know what you want.

Bt-K will have no effect on sawfly larvae. Only the larvae (caterpillars) of moths or butterflies are harmed by feeding on the product. Sawflies are larvae of a type of wasp-like insect.
