Having a nervous breakdown!

I love roses, I really do . . . but I can't take it anymore!! I can't take all the diseases and spraying!! We have a wonderful garden that's full of butterflies, bees, hummingbirds, lizards, etc. and I just don't want to keep spraying chemicals in my yard for the sake of a few rose plants.
I've heard people say they never spray but when I tried that one of my HTs died from BS. I'm thinking of going totally HT-less and sticking with disease resistant types like rugosas. I have a bunch of Knock-outs and a Linda Campbell rugosa that are all outstanding and low maintenance.

What other roses would you guys suggest for disease resistance?

Thanks I feel much better!
Lisa

RE: Having a nervous breakdown!

Lisa, see Jean's article ("Jean" here on GardenWeb) at the ARS site. Jean does not use fungicides, and uses insecticides sparingly, if at all. She's already responded to your similar post on the Antique Roses forum.

Here is a link that might be useful: No Spray Garden
