Question on organic fertilizers

| I am aware that, when you are dealing with organics, minute differences in portions are not too important but... most of the 50 pound bags of organics do not have instructions or N-P-K ratios and the ones that do, such as Milorganite, use the "pounds per 100 square feet" way of judging. How do I know how much of the N-P-K's I am putting in and what it actually adds to? Has anyone ever figured it out by the cup or by the tablespoon? For instance, my mixture of organics per large plant roughly divide up to:
3 T Blood meal
3 T Bone meal
3 T Cottonseed meal
3 T Alfalfa meal
3 T Fish meal
3 T Milorganite
1 T Epsom salt
2 T 18-4-8 Time Release
2 T Lime (I have acid soil)
3 T Composted manure
3 T Superphosphate
I wanted to add Urea, but could not find it.
Also, how can you tell what the drip line on a climber is?

First, with a lot of work, the overall N-P-K of your mixture can be calculated. Second, there are at least two components in your mixture that disqualify it as an organic fertilizer: Time Release 18-4-8 and Superphosphate. Third, why go to all this trouble? If you want to be an organic gardener, just purchase a ready-mixed organic fertilizer -- even just Milorganite -- and add whatever limestone or dolomite is appropriate for the soil in your area.

Thank you, Field. I knew the time release wasn't, but I did not know superphosphate was not organic. I was trying to put in a little of each to make sure all was covered. Upon researching further, I realized that some of these provide duplicate nutritional values. I am still processing and computing all the info.

Thanks for the thread, and the response. I use the fish emulsion, epsom salt, alfalfa, Medina, Superthrive mix. Would something easier do the same job?

Hello Wildrose, There are so many products out there... seems so complicated. I am still processing and calculating. I am familiar with the products you use except Medina... what is Medina?
