Jens Munk just refuses to bloom.

I planted him last may.He is a Canadian Explorer rose.
The soil Ph is perfect. I have been feeding him, so he is a beautiful bush 2+ feet high, 1+feet wide--after being eaten last winter by the neighborhood bunny. But not one single flower. What should I do?

I contacted the nursary again. They suggested that I was being too kind to the poor thing. (I was only trying to give all my roses similar treatment to my teas)--(dead heading, watering, fertilizing, giving bananas and grounds etc.) Well, it backfired. My Champlain in the side yard has stopped blooming, and for the first time in 5 years, the bottom foliage looks unhealthy. And the Jens Munk still won't bloom. She suggested that I stop watering and fertilizing it. Also, take a pitch fork and poke the roots. (aeration??) Just thought I'd let you know....IGNORE ALL EXPLORER ROSES! Well, that I can do!
