Root Structure of Roses and Possible Space Conflict

Greetings, all! I'm in the process of designing my outdoor spaces, and recently sunk six new rose bushes into the ground. I wanted the roses to be near the deck, which also happens to be in close proximity to a buried septic tank. One of them is actually over the tank, which would be i'm guessing 18 inches underground. Will the rose roots interfere with the tank, or vice versa?

Photographs follow. The woman at the nursery indicated there would be no conflict, so i'm sort of crossing my fingers and looking for corroboration here.

Please note that the fruit trees and other potted plants are being planted out in the field, and are only near the roses temporarily.
