Reusing alfalfa for second batch of tea

I made a batch of aerated alfalfa tea, added some epsom salts, a cup of organic rose fertilizer and a couple cups of molasses. I let it steep for 6 days and applied. My question is, I have read in other posts that one can make a second batch using the same alfalfa. My question is, do I need to add more alfalfa, epsom salt or sugar source? How long does the second batch need to brew?

RE: Reusing alfalfa for second batch of tea

Well, I have gone by the local rose society recommendation which is to (after using most of the liquid out of the first batch of tea) simply refill the container with water and let steep for another day or so. I don't add more alfalfa but I do usually add more epsom or whatever supplement I am adding to the tea ALTHOUGH I don't add as much of the supplements the second time around since I feel that there is still some residue within the remaining alfalfa mush.

Happy tea brewing!

Lynn
