compagne plant

has anyone heard about this plant-compagne. Maybe I have the wrong spelling altogether but I heard it was a good companion for planting with roses. It supposedly keeps the bugs away.

Perhaps if you gave us a phonetic spelling, we could recognize what it is you are trying to locate. The only thing I can think of that's close is campion, which I'm pretty sure is wrong.

compagne means friend in french, so a plante compagne is a plant that is good to her friend, like garlic or mint to roses etc!!
