 o
Rose for Windy Hill House

I am new to gardening. Eversince I was little, I always want a rose garden. My husband and I just moved into our dream house. It is on a hill, so we have more wind than other place around the city. My husband and I have been putting up wire fences around our small plot of land to prevent deer and rabbit. We also have planted:
New Dawn, Blaze Improved, Austrian Copper, Knockout, Fourth of July, Fire Fighter, MoonDance, Rainbow Sobbe, Kimberlina.
I have been reading up on how too much wind might kill my roses. I am worry. I talked to the lady at my nursery, and she said that all I have to do is water them more and mulch them. Will I still have blooms that I can enjoy and will they be okay?
We do have some shrub oak around the area, but the wind come from different direction and hit the house and spread every where.

RE: Rose for Windy Hill House

How well your roses will do depends on the soil they are growing in, so what have you done to make that soil good and healthy? If at all possible, too, is plant windbreaks which can slow or divert the wind the flows across the garden.
