Rhapsody in Blue & Golden Celebration tall shoots, Prune now?

| Hi,
I tried a recommendation to use alfalfa pellets this year and I was amazed at the great performance I had from my roses this year. I had rebloom for the first time on these two roses. Now some of the shoots are very tall and about two feet above the rest of the shrub on the RinB and the Golden Celebration looks like it's trying to be a climber. They are in the front of the house, so I would really like to trim them back so I won't be looking at a mess all winter. I haven't before this, because they are still blooming and pushing out buds. Is it too late to prune them here in zone 6 Massachusetts?
Thanks... :-)

| I stop pruning my roses now, including taking blossoms off for other uses, so they will harden before winter. The production of the rose hips helps the plants get ready for winter, and pruning would encourage that plant to produce new growth that would not be hardened for winter. |

| So, if you stop now, then is it still time to prune one more time? Not sure if you are saying this is a borderline time? |
