Hi. I am considering planting one or more Mme Joseph Schwartz. Anyone have experiences with it they can share? I'm particularly interested in BS resistance in organic only conditions, but info on ultimate size and bloom color, etc. is welcome. (I'm hoping it will bloom mostly white. Thanks!

You may want to ask this over at the Antique Roses forum, there are plenty of folks there who grow "no spray" and can help.

I love Duchesse de Brabant, and I won't spray. As you know, Mme Joseph Schwartz is a sport of Duchesse. It could be my imagination, but I just didn't like Mme Joseph as well. It truly seems like a "weak sister" to me - in fragrance, disease resistance, bloom fulness, everything. I finally got rid of it in favor of a rose that would reward me more for the space it consumed in my small garden. Oh and it seemed to ball in humid weather worse than Duchesse, too. I think that was from the thrips. In color it was cream for me, and rarely showed the pink petal edges that the photos show.
