Air layering

This may have been posted here but I could not find it. What time of year would be the best time to try and air layer roses in zone 6 ?

I would think the spring growth flush would be the best time. They're all revved up and ready to grow! Besides that it would give them the longest time to grow and build roots before winter sets in.

Does the same go for any zone? I'm zone 8. (TX)

I think so, lark. What ever time your roses start to grow in the spring would be a good time to start air layering.
