Root rose cutting without sunlight!

Can I grow rose cuttings without sun light? I have one fluorescent and two regular lamps. Would this be okay to try to root 13 rose cuttings or should I put them in sun light? Which one is better and does it really matter too much, because I don't know if it is possible for me to put them in an area where they will have direct sunlight. Thanks!

Direct sun is not required or even suggested. It is not even necessary that they be indoors. They do need to be in a frost free area. This time of year they are just beginning to grow and the buds should be swelling and beginning to leaf. It is important that the starting medium be fast draining with lots of air in the root zone. I prefer a gritty mix containing fir bark,Turface or Play Ball and granite fines. Anything loose and gravelly will do. Al
