I wouldn't try it on a plant that I liked. I am not sure if a rose will tolerate that level of root damage or not! SH roots eaily, why not just root yourself another copy?

Thanks for that info, Michelle...I had thought about TRYING to root some cuttings. What should I root them in?

It can be done. I have done it before when I dug up roses to move. After you have it out of the ground and see the root system. I think mine had part on rootstock and part own root.

I have done it before too..whem I moved some roses they looked like they could be divided so I did, and they did fine, with being chopped in two
