| My husband bought me a single long stem rose for Valentine's Day. We were out of town when he bought it and on the way home the rose wilted and looked like it died. I brought it in the house anyway and put it in a vase of water and now there are little leaves growing off the stem which is green. The wilted dried out flower is still on there. Is this trying to take root and if so, can I plant it? I know nothing about growing roses, I want to get a rose bush for my yard this summer too, one that is very hardy and displays lots of roses. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks! |

| You can always try. Just dip it in some root hormone or honey and put in potting soil. In a few weeks check by tugging lightly, if there is resistance then you have roots. Good Luck! |
