First cuttings today :)

Today the snow had finally melted enough to get at the roses to prune them. They looked in good shape for having been smashed with snow and one of my plants having been transplanted last fall including breaking the tap root. x_X

I ended up with about 16 cuttings from the red, yellow, and pink tea roses. Dipped them in rooting hormone, potted them in perlite, watered them, and now I just have to wait and see how they do. :)

The 5 rose seedlings that came up are also looking healthy, they just put out their second pair of leaves (the ones that actually look roselike, the first pair aren't jaggedy). They're 3-4 inches tall. And the rest of the seeds are coming up on the 2 month point of refrigeration, so checking for sprouting is next on the agenda. Everything is exciting in rose land this week. ^_^
