Now are you taking roses that have a bud/bloom on them now or they haven't budded or bloomed yet?

mine all died -_- I followed the directions: cut at an angle, dip in rooting hormone, pot in perlite... but they leafed then withered and turned black, I didn't see any signs of root development on any when I threw them out.

Next time I'm going to get some rooter pots instead.

No matter what method you use to try to root your cuttings, it is very important to take the cuttings at the proper time. The best cuttings for me are semi-hard ... meaning a shoot that has developed enough to have a dead flower on the end of it. Cuttings taken too early are too tender and much more likely to rot.
