I planted rose bushes first time in my gardden last year (fall). Diddnt get much flowering last year. Mostly carpet rose and a few Knock out rose plants. Now that we are getting into spring, looking for a good flowering season. I see the leaves are coming out. But the shapes are rather scatettered.

Should I prune the plants now? Should I fertilize now to get a full blloming season? What is the ebst fertilizer for rose bushes? How about using the "deer out" products to keep the deer away? Can I apply that at the same time?
