Rose Propagation & Exchange

Very prickly rose bush

We just moved into our home in November and we have a rose bush that is hidiously sharp with many thorns... So many in fact it looks scary and dangerous. Almost looks like a cacti. Not sure what color the roses are at this time. Is there any way to minimize the # of thorns on this bush?

No. Two options, live with it and wear leather gloves when handling it or remove it.
