can you graft more than one color of rose to one shrub?

I've been playing around with rooting plants, slowly getting better, and now I want to experiment with grafting. My neighbor has what I believe are 'Rosa multiflora' growing wild around a fenced area in her yard, which I thought might work as rootstock?

Has anyone here tried grafting more than one color of rose to one plant? I imagine if this were to work, it would be better to only graft from one kind of rose, like only shrub roses, or only climbing roses.
