recycling moss

I am looking at a small bag of moss that contained a root of Phlox David. David is now happily growing in his temporary home. When I got him he had some white roots showing so I knew he was a 'live' one.
Is there any way this may be useful as part of a rooting medium for cuttings? What would I have to add to it? |
