| Do I remove thorns from cuttings. I think I have the method for florist stems, but cannot remember whether I need to remove thorns under rooting medium. Thanks |

| I don't think you need to remove them for success. I trim the sharp tip off wtih a scissors just to make it easier to handle. |

You probably could put some hormone on them. But, I don't use rooting hormone. Dawn |

| Generally you take off lower leaves and any blossoms; and leave thorns and a small group of leaves toward the top to aid in photosynthesis. |
