Softwood cutting success!

Or maybe partial success. I took a peak at the newspaper wrapped hardwood cuttings not anything happening there at 2 days short of 2 weeks. I tried half a dozen softwood cuttings sort of chopping up my prized rosebush. Now to the point I discover one cutting with promise after only 9 days now thats fast. Maybe in a few days some of the others will show something. Following are several shots and my setup. The first couple of shots are shadow shots but they show it best. Im not sure what I do now anyway its back in the medium. This doesnt surprise me much though as ambitious as the parent plan has been.

Looks good! I see you have a number of cuttings started - which is smart. That way *something* is likely to grow and you'll have at least a small success to keep you motivated.

Thanks,, Yes I have several cuttings of which if I can at least get one to work I can feel good about this experiment.
