100+ year old Rose bush

My Mother has been growing a rose bush that was my Father's Grandmother's! My 85 year old Grandfather claims the rose bush was old when he was a kid and remembers his Mother talking about it with friends. I looked around on YouTube about Rose propagation, took some cuttings, dipped them in root tone and I think they have rooted! It's been 4 weeks and they are going strong in their pots! Now, do I pull up the bush and plant bare roots, or should I simply try to keep the dirt intact and plant that? So excited to have this family heirloom!

That's great! But no need to take the dirt off, plant it as you would any other plant. The only time I ever mess with the potted dirt is if the roots are wrapping around themselves and need to be freed.

I would love to know what it is! Post a pic here or on the Antique Roses Forum and I bet someone can ID it for you.

It blooms white on Father's Day and My Father's BDay, August 17th-ish. Very hardy, insect/disease resistant and doesn't require much attention, other than a Spring cutback. I'll post pics when I get some blooms :D
