Is this rose a sport of Elle?

I own the HT "Elle", which puts out pink blend blooms. Recently I noticed a bloom that is a vivid apricot, orange and yellow, with a tinge of red to the petal edges and no white or pastel pink as is otherwise typical of my Elle blooms. Is this what rosarians would call a "sport"?

Here is a view from the side of the rose. I rather like it, and would like to learn how to possibly see a bloom of this color type again.

That's a sport indeed if it came from your Elle. You need to root that stem.

newsview, in Photobucket, go into your album that displays the thumbnails of your photos. Under each thumbnail are three boxes. Click in the box marked "HTML Tag", the text will automatically be copied. Then paste that text into the "Message:" box here. You can paste as many of these lines as you can (please be aware that some folks are still on dial-up so not too many) in the "Message:" box (Not the "Optional Link URL"), and your photos will be displayed in the body of your post.

Well I'm fairly certain yes. it looks very pretty. I would get that started and do some experimenting with it. just be careful not to damage the new plant.
If it turns out well... get some commercial growers to take a look. I would love to have a rose in my garden that looks like that.

Very nice! Yes root it. Also, if you know anyone locally who knows how to bud, see if they can bud one for you.
