How wonderful for you! Congrads on your first propagated rose! I have several that I started last fall and they are leafing out now. I had clear plastic jugs over them all winter and took them off a week ago. I am going to leave them right where they are until next spring. I think you are right in giving them more time for their root systems to be more developed.

Congratulations! Doesn't it give you a good feeling? I got one out of about 8 that way, maybe one more will pull through, and I did use rooting hormone. I left the jars on all winter and took them off early, noticed it was none too soon because the first leaves had fried some. Now it is coming along nicely. Now I have a pepsi bottle with the cap off for ventilation over the other one, don't know if it will do anything or not.
