Congratulations!

Do send the pic to Michelle, I am interested in seeing it also. None of my babies have bloomed since the flowers they had under lights, but they are all outside now, and most are growing well, so hopefully soon they will bloom again. Some seem to be producing the most interesting 'chocolate' leaves, and they do not appear to be turning green, so that might be interesting.

Marleah, it's very cute. In trimming the photo, I removed the part that shows the other bud. Looks like it's going to be very floriferous. Lucky you!

Oh, I forgot - is it fragrant??

I did notice a scent this afternoon. A mild scent like golden celebration which happens to be in the nearby vicinity of the seed parent of this plant.

it was an open pollenated hip.

Not very thrilling. Not ugly, but boring (to me)
a four petaled white rose with greenish stamens in the center (could be the aphids LOL)

Update:
my first seedling (pic posted) turned white. Petals sort of reflexed and the bloom is still on the plant. I am enjoying that one, but different than how I thought it was going to be (I was hoping for apricot or golden overtones, but it turned a very crisp white.. almost illuminating).

Beautiful! Well done! Try selfing it, you may get the gold and apricot you wanted.
