3. they did not need the first warm moist. you must now simulate another winter. 2 more months in the fridge. if that does not do it then google search Henry Kuska, he is a member here, and do it the way he does it. i did it they way he said and it worked like a charm. you must first treat the seed with enzyme, to simulate passing through the digestive tract of a bird or mammal. then cold stratification.
Also George Mander of B.C. Canada, shows how to do it. His articles also available online by google search.

Seeds from some crosses have a poorer germination percentage than others. Others take longer to germinate ... the seed that produced Knock Out took 3 years to germinate. Dr. Van Fleet, in his Beltsville test plot, kept his seed beds for 7 years.

When planting any seeds, not just roses, it's necessary to be aware of the natural cycle of that seed. In the case of roses, the seeds mature in late summer or early autumn, require a cold period, and begin to germinate in early spring as the soil warms. (The ideal soil temp for germinating roses seeds is between 55 and 65 degrees. Over 70 degrees, and germination rates decrease dramatically.) You can do this artificially with the refrigerator and warm periods and grow lights ... or you can prepare an area outside and let nature go through the cycles for you.

Since these are precious seeds, I wish you the best success with them. Unfortunately, rose hybridizing seems to rely heavily on experience and luck. There's no set time-table. There are just too many variables.

Only about 25% of my rose seeds germinate. The % germination will be much lower (like zero) for a cross such as yours between two very different roses.
