teasing georgia patent

So someone has a cutting for me (Teasing Georgia) to try to root if I can figure out whether or not it is still patented. I found out what it's patent name was (ausbaker)from the helpmefind site & it was patented in 1998 in the european union. But when I google/patents it's name only showed up in another patent, referring to how this other one differred from it... so if it isn't showing up on the google/patents thing, has the patent expired? (no idea how long these things last, but 10 years seems short time for patent to expire)

beautiful rose, know it is a longshot, but worth getting you guy's expertise on.
