I am a newbie myself, but about five weeks ago, I got a whole mess of wonderful cuttings. I don't know if they will make it all the way or not, but I tried several of the methods listed here and on the web, and two of the three I put in the ground under jars now have the beginnings of leaves on them, and appear to be rooted. They are, in fact, just as vigorous as the ones I put coir or the perlite mix. They are under jars in a place which only gets a couple hours of morning sun, so they don't cook there. I think I lost one because it was in full sun under the jar and it may have cooked. I used the instructions found here on the forum with wounding, hormones. Good luck!
