Is there a website for this?

How do you find out the name of the florist rose that you are trying to propagate from cutting? I noticed some of you are rooting cuttings from bouqet roses and you actually know the name of them. How do I find this out? I would just like to know the names of my babies-or future babies.

They are usually labeled at the florist. I only buy the roses that are labeled as to what variety they are. I then go home and look them up to make sure the name is correct. I have never had any problems with finding these just by typing the name into the Google search engine.

Oh really! I didn't realize you could buy cut roses, as in bouquet roses that had their names included. And I figured if I asked they would look at me like "Who are you, Martha Stewart or someone?"

Yes, just go to your local florist. Not one of those cheapo places, but an honest to goodness florist. They will know exactly what they are getting. Some of the easier ones to root are;
Tantau's Konfetti (also just called Konfetti)
Latin Lady
Eskimo
Charlene

I ended up on the HelpMeFind website and found it to be a treasure trove of information. Thanks!!

You can also Google "wholesale florist roses" and get some of the rose wholesalers. I like to look at California Pajarosa, Eufloria, Excel Roses, Globalrose.com, and the mother of all sites, Omniflora (click on "Varieties" in the top menu bar and hold on to the top of your head).
