Would anyone be interested in trading some cuttings over summer? I've posted a request in the Canada exchange forum but thought I would try it here also.

Hello Helen,
I live in Coquitlam and I would not start any own root cuttings until it cools down.
70 to 74 F. (about 20 to 23 max C. ) is the BEST temperature.

You could try of course, but you have to expect to loose some cuttings or all.
