Rose cuttings and temp and other ?s

Hi guys! I'm brand new to rose propagation, so I have a couple questions. Is there a cut-off temp at which you should no longer try to grow from cuttings? I want to try this, but with it already being around 100 degrees out here during the day, I don't know if that would kill off my cuttings. Should I wait for fall or spring to try?

Second, will regular spiders eat spider mites, or should I be working to get rid of them, too? I sprayed my roses the other day, and noticed two days later that I now have the larger, garden spiders hanging around.

And last, with my climbing roses. I have two Icebergs and two Royal Golds. The Icebergs are doing wonderfully, but the RG are looking kinda spindly. They aren't really spreading out much, just growing up. I've heard about pegging, should I try that?

Thanks in advance for any help!!! I love this forum. I've already learned a ton just from reading the previous posts.
