100 degrees is way too hot for out-of-doors propagation of all but the most heat loving of roses - the true teas and chinas and some of the noisettes. I think George Mander puts the cut-off for the others at 75 degrees. I can go quite a bit higher than that using a misting system, but only so long as the nights are still relatively cool. Only the heat lovers will reliably root when it's hot 24 hours a day.

You may be able to take cuttings and root them under lights indoors if your plants are still actively growing and blooming. A lot of roses more or less shut down at high temperatures, and in such cases it's best to wait until fall.

Regular spiders are good guys in the garden. I'd leave them alone.

Yes spiders are indeed our friends. I keep telling my kids that but I don't know if it is sinking in.
