What about keeping them outside?

I'm contemplating doing some rose cuttings and placing them outside in the shade with no misting or anything. It's very humid here, and I'm wondering if the humidity would be enough moisture for them since they'll be in the shade. Anyone have experience with this?

you need to create a moist enviroment. Either use a soda bottle or a ziploc bag

It works for me. I just put them in a flower pot and set them under a tree and mist them once or twice a day.

I took two cuttings from one of my roses and put them in one gallon pots filled with compost. I thought what have I got to lose. I placed the pots in the shade and keep them moist. Today they both have numerous sets of leaves.
